The Barn
A plywood interior design for inspiring meetings with interesting guests
After its renovation in 2002, the Škrabec Homestead Barn was given a mission to support cultural, communications, media and business endeavours. The interior was refurbished into a spacious seminar gallery hall. The pillar sculptures by four Slovenian sculptors – Jakov Brdar, Stane Jarm, Matjaž Počivavšek and Mirsad Begić – stand in front of the entrance. The wooden barn, built using the Riko Houses wooden construction system, makes up the central space of the programmes and events that fill and enrich the renovated homestead premises.
