A legacy from the past, challenges for the future
The renovated Škrabec homestead, the birthplace of friar and linguist Stanislav Škrabec, is located in the heart of the village of Hrovača. The present image of the homestead was outlined during the 1930s. Since 1998, a museum collection has been arranged in the residential area. The items and furniture are laid out in a similar way as in the period until World War II, when the Škrabec family was still farming at the homestead. The street façade is adorned with a relief portrait of friar Stanislav Škrabec, the sculptural creation of France Kralj from 1920.
